My Picks From New York Fashion Week

With New York Fashion Week being one of the Big 4 fashion weeks, it goes without saying that it is one of the most anticipated events of the industry. It is meticulously reported, and eyes aren’t only focused on the runway, but on everyone in attendance as well.

Couple that with it being the Fall runway shows (arguably the most important season in fashion), you know the designers brought their A game. Which meant there was no shortage of jaw-dropping couture to draw inspiration for your own real-life runway.

Here are my picks for top 5 designers from this past week (and, boy, was it hard to choose!):

Oscar de la Renta never disappoints. If you want feminine details mixed with romantic flair, look no further!

Jason Wu showed off his skills with sophisticated tailoring. He played with different textures and fabrics and brought them together effortlessly.

Proenza Schouler inspires again and again! But what inspired this collection? “…this narrative of unraveling, this idea of things falling apart, but also the feeling of wanting to be protected. It’s those two opposing forces.” -Lazaro Hernandez

Tory Burch celebrated femininity with intricate florals, ruffled blouses, and beautifully crafted over-the-knee boots.

Rodarte did not quietly make their return to NYFW! They made sure we heard them loud and clear, with their collection of whimsical gowns and statement-making pieces.
