Meet the Masters: From Picasso to Pop Art

Meet the Masters, Art Exhibition “From Picasso to Pop Art”
September 19 – October 14 in the West Galleria in partnership with Chali-Rosso Art Gallery, Vancouver

This exhibition spans a century of fine art and will be showcasing original works of major Modern Masters of Europe and the US, among them Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Marc Chagall, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.  All artwork displayed will be available for sale.

This free public exhibition will showcase a collection of art works that represents two of the most important art movements of the last century: Surrealism and Pop Art.

A new monumental Salvador Dalí 69″ sculpture will be one of the many highlights: the gracious and elegant Dalinian Dancer sculpture, valued at $1.2 million.  Salvador Dalí was particularly attracted to the passion and flamboyance of the Flamenco, which explores the full range of human emotions. The dancer’s perfectly coiffed head, hair pulled tightly into a low, sleek bun, the flirty neckline and floating ruffles of her swirling dress complete the signature look.

Dalí’s dancer twirls gracefully in a display of vitality and ecstasy, as the layers of her skirt gently flaring in waves as she moves rhythmically.

In the spirit of Salvador Dalí’s limitless imagination, Chali-Rosso Art Gallery has developed the Definitely Dalí Augmented Reality app. By downloading the ‘Definitely Dali’ app, one can witness the magic as the Dalinian sculpture comes to life and dances in the real world around the viewer.
