Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year Celebrations
Jan. 29 – Feb. 19, 2019

Celebrate the Year of the Pig at Oakridge Centre with fun activities for everyone during the month of February. Walk through the Galleria of Imperial Inspirations, a fashion exhibition from local and Asian designers. On weekends, kids can make and collect hand-held Pig Hero lanterns and experience all the different Asian cultures from Chinese to Korean and Vietnamese through a showcase of live entertainment.  Taiwanese sculpture artist Yi-Lun Yao has created “The Mighty Boar” piggy bank.  With social good in mind, when you insert a coin into the bank it will greet your donation with a receptive “oink”.
