Lunar Celebrations Calendar

January 16th – February 10th
“Community of Castles” art installation & Photo Opportunity. The castles are based on pop-up books giving life to the different sceneries and architecture of Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China.

The “MIGHTY 6” Lion Dance & Lucky Lettuce Blessing with special guest, the God of Fortune. There will also be lantern crafts for kids.

There will be live entertainment, Asian food market, shopping incentives, photo opportunities, door prizes, and so much more!



Friday, January 24 from 5PM – 5:30PM in the West Galleria
Come and see a Musical Banquet: A Feast of Sumptuous Classical Music by Chai Found Music Workshop.



Saturday, January 25th from 12Noon – 3PM in the West Galleria
To commemorate the YEAR OF THE RAT come and get your photo taken with children’s character Toopy & special guest Binoo.

There will be face painting and lantern crafts for the kids.


Saturday, February 1st from 12PM – 4PM in the West Galleria
Come and see us for our live Performance Showcase as we celebrate Lunar New Year’s Asian cultures.

12PM – Opening remarks by Senator Yonah Martin
12:15PM – Vancouver Korean Dance Arts Society – Traditional Korean dance
1PM – SEACHS Vietnamese dance and music performers
2PM – Jessica Lui, Chinese harp
3PM – Goldenpearl Ensemble, traditional Chinese music instruments
