Everyone loves a wedding, especially a royal one!

This Saturday, May 19, people around the world will be tuning in to watch as Meghan Markle weds Prince Harry at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. What better way to toast the occasion than to plan a Royal Wedding cocktail party for you and 10 of your closest friends?

Every cocktail party needs an iconic themed bevvy. In honor of the royal couple, our favourite is The Royal Rose. In fact, this royal cocktail was developed for Kate and William’s wedding in 2011, but is the perfect drink to toast Harry and Meghan’s nuptials. Serve it in these gorgeous Verve Martini Glasses from Crate & Barrel ($19.95 each).

What food could be more appropriate for a royal wedding viewing party than some canapes? We love this simple, yet elegant Smoked Salmon Cucumber Roll and this classic Mushroom and Goat Cheese Tart. Pair them with a selection of cheeses for a well-rounded menu; this Hayes Marble Serving Board ($59.95) creates a stunning display for your cheeses.

Finale the evening with sweets from Sugarfina. Our favourites for this occasion are the Champagne Bears ($10.95) and the English Toffee Caramels ($9.95). How fitting! As we sip our royal cocktail, I can’t help but think, “what will the guests be wearing”?
