Playful Patterns

Newcomer Marc Cain lived up to expectations featuring a fresh take on the timeless polka dot with this daisy lace vest & turtle neck paired with a flowing polka dot skirt (left). Polka dots weren’t the only pattern to appear on the runway – fun patterned prints appeared across all three shows from brands like Michael Kors, Judith + Charles, and MaxMara.

This red print suit from Judith + Charles (middle) paired an intricate pattern with a slim silhouette, making a bold statement as Vancouver prepares for Fall.

MaxMara (right) boasts a Fall favourite with a knee length Alpaca jacket paired effortlessly with a draped print dress.

Fabrics of Fall

To add to the occasion, textures made frequent appearances in Fall collections from Hudson’s Bay, Harry Rosen, Weekend by MaxMara, BluBird & DKNY.

Blubird (right) brings a retro military perspective on texture with this L’Edition fur trim vest & velvet denim look. Hudson’s Bay (middle) adds a touch of bold elegance with this Karl Lagerfeld tweed jacket paired with over-the-knee-form-fitting LONGLEGS boots from Stuart Weitzman. Harry Rosen (right) turned heads with a Versace shirt & jacket, Diesel Black Gold denim and Bottega Veneta loafers, an edgy favourite for fall.

It's Cold Outside

In true Fall fashion, outerwear was a prominent feature by most, if not all brands in the show.

Walking the runway were two distinct trends for women’s coats: knee-length & statement tones as seen here by JAC by Jacqueline Conoir (left). This sky blue Kuwalla Tee Bomber from Boys’ Co, was one of many men’s outerwear showcasing the classic bomber jacket for Fall. Michael Kors (right) breaks from the pack by adding a power blue, knee-length, four button coat to this seasons outwear collection.

On the Right Foot

Stuart Weitzman dominated the stage with a collection of sock boots ranging in colours, styles and specialty detail. This season’s favourites include the ‘Sockhop Bootie’ (left) – a woven fabric bootie in Bordeaux, and the ‘Longlegs boot’(right) – a sexy over-the-knee flared block heel with crafted detailing. Styled up or down, Stuart Weitzman offers comfort this season without compromising style.
