Shoppers Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for Earth Week at Oakridge

Earth Week (April 18 – 23) at Oakridge brought the community together to do their part to reduce, reuse and recycle!

Plastic bag recycling and e-waste recycling saw involvement from over 400 local Oakridge residents. Our go green transit contest saw 98 transit riders show their same-day pass to Concierge in exchange for a tote bag. Each contest participant was entered to win one of 3 $250 Oakridge Gift Cards. Over three days we collected 4,300 plastic bags, 9,248 pounds of electronics, and 55 pounds of batteries.

With $1 from every Gift Card sold and $1 for every plastic bag collected going to the World Wildlife Fund, we raised over $2,100 for this leading conservation organization.
